This delicate acylic ink and water colour painting depicts a serene turtle resting on the shoreline, its shell transformed into a luminous mosaic of purples and blues that shimmer like ocean jewels. The gentle meeting of sand and sea provides a peaceful backdrop, allowing the intricate shell to take centre stage as a symbol of wisdom, protection, and spiritual transformation. The harmonious blend of cool tones evokes calm, intuition, and inner clarity, while the mosaic pattern hints at the many layers of life’s journey coming together in unity. This piece invites quiet reflection, celebrating the beauty, resilience, and sacred presence of the turtle as a timeless guide of the natural world.

"Journey of the Gentle Warrior"  (2019)

A collection of water colour and acrylic paintings created in 2019 during my artist residency in the Maldives, inspired by the peaceful world I experienced while diving and snorkeling among these ancient ocean guardians. Each piece captures the turtle’s gentle grace, steady rhythm, and deep spiritual presence. In many traditions, the turtle is a powerful totem symbolising wisdom, protection, patience, long life, and the quiet strength needed to move through life with purpose. Through this series, I honour the turtle as a spiritual guide - a reminder to slow down, breathe, trust the journey, and stay grounded while navigating the ever-changing tides of life.

Limited Edition of 50 Prints for each material and size option. All prints will be provided with a Certificate of Authenticity including artist signature, original date create, size, materials and edition print number. 

All of our canvas prints come read to hang and are printed with Epson's latest 12 ink technology at 2440dpi (HD Quality). Our printer uses premium quality framer's tape and wire when finishing the back of all our canvas prints. All canvas prints are coated with a satin fade-resistant coating and are fade resistant for 200+ years.
