Michelle Ward ~ Biography

Michelle Ward (Michella Creative) is a New Zealand born artist, currently based in Australia, curator, and creative visionary whose work explores the profound connection between nature, spirit, and human emotion. With a Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design and a background in Electronic Multimedia, Michella brings over 30 years of artistic experience across painting, photography, publishing and electronic multi-media.

Her work is inspired by the natural world - the ocean, wildlife, landscapes, and ancient symbolism, reflecting themes of healing, transformation, freedom, and spiritual connection. Influenced by her Māori ancestry and time spent immersed in diverse cultures including Mayan, Aboriginal and Maldives traditions, Michella’s art carries a deep reverence for the wisdom of the earth and the stories held within it.

Michella has exhibited internationally in Australia, New Zealand, Maldives, the United Kingdom, and Mexico. Her collections range from expressive ocean works and wildlife paintings to symbolic mixed media abstract pieces that invite reflection and inner stillness.

Through her brand Michella Creative and her Artinzene and Art Healing Studio platforms, Michelle creates art experiences designed to inspire, uplift, and reconnect people with creativity as a pathway to wellbeing.

Today she continues to create original works, curated collections, and commissioned pieces for collectors, interiors, and private spaces worldwide.
